Halloween Fun for the Whole Family in and Around Ventura County

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what spooky activities you want to do with your family! If you’re stuck for ideas, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the best Halloween events and activities happening in and around Ventura County.

Halloween Haunt at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Boo! Are you looking for a scare this Halloween? If so, head on over to Six Flags Magic Mountain, where their annual Halloween Haunt is sure to give you a fright! With nine mazes, four scare zones, and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone at this event. And if that’s not enough, there’s also a special “no-scare” day for youngsters on October 27. So round up the family and get ready for a frightfully good time!

Harvest Festival at Reagan Library

October 28th from 11 am-4 pm. This free event will have carnival games, inflatables, a petting zoo, food trucks, and more!

Pumpkin Festival at Underwood Farms

Looking for something a little more low-key? Then why not head to Underwood Farms in Moorpark for their Pumpkin Festival? With hayrides, pick-your-own pumpkins, petting zoos, and more, this event is perfect for families with young children. And of course, no visit to a pumpkin patch would be complete without sampling some delicious pumpkin-flavored treats! Yum!

Spooktacular Science at Discovery Science Center

October 28th – October 31st from 11 am-4 pm. Families can enjoy special science demonstrations, crafts, and activities all about Halloween!

Halloween Nighttime Zoo Adventure at Santa Barbara Zoo

Spend an evening at the Santa Barbara Zoo if you dare! On October 25 through October 30th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, the zoo will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland with spooky decorations, fun activities, and – of course – plenty of adorable animals. This event is perfect for families who want to experience the zoo in a whole new light…literally! Be sure to bring your camera so you can capture all the memories.

Halloween Hootenanny at Underwood Family Farms

October 27th-30th from 10 am-5 pm. This event features a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a corn maze, a petting zoo, and more!

Not-So-Scary Family Movie Night at Studio Movie Grill

This month in October, watch a family-friendly Halloween movie on the big screen while enjoying food and drinks from the comfort of your seat!

Boo at the Zoo at Moorpark College

October 229th and 300th. This carnival will have games, prizes, food trucks, a haunted house, live entertainment, and more!

Kids Club Halloween Party at Conejo Valley YMCA

October 31st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Kids are invited to come in costume for games, crafts, and more at this safe and fun Halloween party!

Annual Halloween Celebration at Encino Branch Library

October 31st from 3:30-5 pm. This year’s event will feature puppets shows, crafts, games, and of course…candy!

Ojai Ave Trick or Treating

October 31st from 3:30-5:30 pm businesses along Ojai Ave will be giving out candy to trick or treaters

Howl O’ Ween

At the Mission Oaks Dog Park in Camarillo, bring your furry friend(s) for an evening of Dog Costume Contest, Pet Vendors, Raffles, Food Trucks, Pet adoptions from Westside German Shepherd Rescue of LA, and Pup Pics, with different vendors set up as well
